Meet Our Facilitator

Cynthia Deters

Cynthia Deters

My name is Cynthia Deters and I am excited to be the Facilitator for the inaugural year of Dickinson County CEO, and the first CEO program in Kansas. I am a graduate of Kansas State University, where I earned my BS and MS degrees in Agricultural Economics. My husband, Steve, and I raised 3 young adults in Abilene: Trevor, Justin and Ashley.

I have been blessed to be able to raise our family in this community for the past 20+ years. I have also had the opportunity to help manage family businesses along the way. I enjoyed being active in the schools and groups while our kids were growing up. As well, I have been involved in several community organizations through the years. I am an active member at St. Andrew parish, where I currently volunteer in many organizational capacities. I was excited to find a career where networking is such a critical component, as the past two decades of service to the community have paid dividends in not just what I know, but who I know.

I am very much looking forward to getting to know more about the businesses in Dickinson County, in addition to the opportunity to introduce the CEO participants to an environment where they can learn, grow, network and become successful because of what they put into the program. They make it happen. I look forward to partnering with the Dickinson County CEO Investors, board and students to make this program successful.
